**An excellent opportunity for an Experienced HVAC Design - CAD Operator to join a well-established company based on West Horndon, Essex.**

**The Company**:
They are a leading contractor for commercial cooling/heating projects in and around the southeast including Essex, Kent, and London.

The company is dedicated to installing systems for specific requirements using top manufacturers for split installations and VRV/VRF installations, offering peace of mind and energy saving solutions.

They are now looking for a HVAC Design-CAD Operator for their Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning (HVAC) team at their friendly office in West Horndon.

**About the Role**:
As a member of the Projects and Design department you will be responsible for enquiry specifications, drawings and associated documents to determine the exact scope required. You will conduct as expert during the pre-bid process providing support with equipment selection, project estimating and production of quotations and tender packages.

**Other key responsibilities will include**:

- Full design and costing of HVAC solutions in line with customer expectations and tender specifications.
- Calculation and evaluation of cooling load or air volume requirements.
- Development of supporting drawing/diagrams relevant to solution requirements.
- Associated logístical and installation requirements along with practical risk and installation assessments.
- Proven experience of design and estimating within a HVAC environment.
- Working knowledge of mainstream HVAC systems and networks.
- Experience in HVAC solutions.
- Good understanding of Engineer Drawings (Mechanical and Electrical).
- Following complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify 2D drawings.
- Being able to define problems and find solutions for them.
- Be able to prepare acquired detailed site information in the preparation of technical reports and present them to clients.
- Accuracy is important for CAD operators, as you need to take lots of complicated and technical information and interpret it into a drawing, with little supervision.
- Producing plans, technical details and building layouts.
- Coordinating filing, storage and retrieval of drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information.
- Good organisation skills.
- Driving Licence would be an advantage due to location.
- Be proactive in your approach.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft & AutoCAD packages.
- Self-motivation.
