**About our Opportunity**:
**Core Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the safe operation of glass manufacturing equipment
- Carry out machine/control/operational adjustments in line with SOP’s/SSOW
- Promote and lead the way in an exemplary safety culture withing the site
- Be proficient at investigating production related issues, identifying root cause and responding to the situations appropriately and safely
- Be competent in completing and working to risk assessments and completing method statements/safe systems of work/SOPs
- Communicate all faults and production area issues to the Team Leaders
- Ensure product sampling in conjunction with the QA release of product is verified and documented with Laboratory Staff
- Be an adaptable individual who enjoys variety, change and flexibility and who can react to fluid situations

**Person Specification**:

- Minimum of 2 years working in a process/manufacturing environment
- Be an effective communicator, able to adapt your communication style
- Effective problem solving, creative thinking and analytical skills
- Someone who is adaptable to frequently changing circumstances
- Comfortable with shift working covering a 24/7 operation and the associated unsociable elements
- Comfortable with exposure to hot/cold end and sometimes noisy operational environment

**Desirable Skills/Qualifications**:

- Basic knowledge/awareness of Mechanical and Electrical systems
- Knowledge of LOTO & permits to work
- Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance
- Basic first aid qualifications (desirable)
- Comfortable with shift working and the associated unsociable elements

**Salary**:
£32,000 - £37,000 (including shift allowance)

**Working Hours**:
Full time, 12-hour shift working - Following a 4 on, 4 off pattern (DDNN).

**Location**:
Site based shift work at our Global Centre of Excellence in St Helen’s.

**Holidays**:
27 days holiday plus bank holidays based on a 5-day week (pro rata will apply).
