We are a fast paced, family run architectural ironmongers, specialising in a wide variety of materials to the building trade, based in the south side of Glasgow. At the moment we are currently looking to add an enthusiastic, self motivated individual to our sales team, in particular to our busy counter sales department.

Full training will be provided, however previous experience in a similar environment would be desirable.
- **Job Type: Full time permanent**_
- **Salary: Competitive dependant on experience **_
- **Duties include but not limited to**:_
- Building relationships with customers through excellent customer service, understanding requirements and ensuring that the correct products are quoted; as a result, securing on-going business.
- Resolving after sales issues that may arise in an appropriate and efficient manner. When required organising supplier returns and processing the return on our computer system, following up with the supplier if necessary.
- Answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries and directing to the correct department/ person when required.
- Preparing & chasing of customer quotes.
- Re-stocking shelves checking they are never left empty.
- Ensuring the showroom & counter area is clean and tidy.
- The ability to take part in regular stock checks.
- Preparation & checking of customer orders following the correct procedures in place.
- Assisting with goods in when required and loading the van with outgoing deliveries.
- Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required

Please note this role does require occasional heavy lifting.

- Basic understanding of Microsoft packages
- Excellent literacy & numerical skills.
- IT literate.
- Great timekeeping.
- Must be able to work as a team and use your own initiative.
- Trustworthy & reliable.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Organised & methodical.
- Can listen to instruction.
- Full clean UK driving license.

**Opening Hours**:
Mon-Fri 7.30am - 5.00pm
One Saturday each month 8am - 12.30pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
