**Summary**:
- To lead financial investigations (either criminal or civil) in support of the National Crime Agency’s objectives, supervising or mentoring staff in support of this.**Job description**:

- A small number of financial posts may require DV Enhanced to be obtained within 12 months of entry’**Responsibilities**:
- Main Responsibilities:
- Act as a lead officer for tasked financial investigations within the Agency.
- Supervise and/or mentor staff as required.
- Ensure investigations are carried out thoroughly, professionally and expeditiously in accordance with Agency policy and legislative requirements.
- Monitor operational performance.
- Deliver timely and accurate performance and management information in accordance with corporate requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working.
**Qualifications**:
- The following qualifications/skills are essential to the role and proof will be required at interview:
- Essential Qualifications (for either criminal or civil financial investigators):
- Accredited financial investigator, or lapsed accreditation within the last 3 years. Please note that all applicants will be checked against national Financial Investigator databases.
Essential (required for Criminal FI posts only):
- PIP2 investigator accreditation or equivalent experience, or ability to attain PIP2 accreditation.
Please confirm your experience is within the last 2 years.
- Evidence for PIP 2 should consist of a successful National Investigators Exam (NIE) pass, completion of ICIDP and Advanced Interviewing programmes, assessment and verification of the PIP 2 Portfolio and continuing accreditation within the previous 24 months.
- PIP2 is not required for civil FI post applicants.-
- Please ensure the dates of any accreditations you are relying on, are entered on to the CV.
- Should you progress to the assessment stage of the process, you will be required to provide a copy of the original certificate.-

- Experience of conducting criminal, civil or regulatory investigations on complex economic or financial cases.
- Experience of Risk Management within financial investigations with effective operational decision making with accountability for decisions made.
- Experience using criminal or civil law and UK legislation affecting agency activity - with emphasis on The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) in relation to money laundering offences, civil recovery, and/or cash seizures.
- Experience of leading a team against set objectives to deliver successful outcomes.
