Gloucestershire, United Kingdom Protective Care Group Limited Full time

Our People don’t just provide care, they are specialist individuals who help to transform the lives of the people they support. We value our staff and ensure everyone is fully trained and supported. In addition we offer excellent rates of pay and investin quality training to ensure you are knowledgable and prepared before starting working with any of our clients.

Many of our staff have found a new niche in working with children and adults with complex needs, some are ex health care professionals or youth workers who have worked with people from all walks of life, others are ex military or from the emergency servicesand already have great conflict management skills.

Many of our clients have very tragic backgrounds, been through the care system or been in secure mental health units. The role can be both mentally and often physically challenging as most of our service users will display challenging behaviour and somecannot communicate verbally. You will usually be working with one other support worker. Shift patterns vary but are usually 4 days on, 4 days off (daytime only).

You will become a crucial part of the young person or adult’s life, work with them within the home supporting the family supporting the family, or at another locality provided by the local authority. Our support workers act as mentors and help develop themental well-being and skills of each client. Your role may involve weekend activities with the whole family (during your shift), holidays, talking the young person for appointments, to school etc. Each person we support has different needs and requirementsand we need flexible people who can adapt to the needs of the family.
- **We are not a standard care company and we are not looking for standard support workers. We are looking for hands-on staff who are happy to engage in activities (for example swimming, camping, cycling, arts and crafts) and you must have a genuine interestin supporting and empowering vulnerable people. Our roles are based across the UK so you may need to work away from home for several days a week*_

We offer exceptional training to those who share our values and ethos, but may not have worked within care previously. We also offer generous benefits including company pension and holiday, plus ongoing development and support.
