Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Let us introduce you to **Paul**:
Paul currently attends college for a course in science. He enjoys playing his games console and can often have a witty sense of humour. Paul requires social support, varying from going out for something to eat to finding something to do in the local community. Previously Paul has been on camping trips with staff which he has thoroughly enjoyed. Paul can sometimes be reluctant to meet people who he does not know, it is preferred for this role that you are a confident individual and can prompt conversation from Paul and motivate him. Paul often receives support Monday-Friday. His support times are typically out-with his college classes however if Paul is struggling with college he may as that staff support him to college.

Let us introduce you to **Dale**:
Dale enjoys going out to Glasgow Green he enjoys going on the Bikes and walking around and watching his surroundings. He enjoys the outdoors and especially enjoys taking time to watch Trucks and Trains. Dale on days when the weather is wet will take time to go to the cinema to watch new movies often the latest animations. After a fun day out, Dale enjoys going for Lunch/Dinner to McDonalds. Dale looks for his staff to be fun out going with a good sense of humour. Dale's support is typically between 14:00-19:00 on Friday 09:00-16:00 Saturday, Sunday 09:00-15:00.

Let us introduce you to **Danny**:
Danny is a very family orientated man and enjoys the company of his sister and niece, despite Danny's family he doesn't have a big social circle. Danny requires support and encouragement with managing his finances, social support, domestic support and support to the shops.

Danny's support can be flexible however a typical day of support may look like Monday 10:30-16:30, Tuesday 11:30-17:30, Friday 11:00-17:00 Sunday 13:00-17:00 however may change to suit Danny's support needs and where possible a preferred weekend support.
