We're currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for a Quality Inspector in Swindon.

**Hours**:6am-2pm, then 2pm-10pm rotational

**Position Overview / Purpose**:
Working in a busy quality department, supporting the Production team to ensure zero-defect outputs and driving a right first-time culture and approach. This position is responsible for ensuring all processed components conform to the Customers requirements and specifications (incoming and outgoing), across all production areas.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Responsible for inspecting critical and sensitive aerospace parts; visually inspect parts to ensure they are correct to the customers drawing and identify any anomalies
- Understand the inspection priorities within the department to meet production requirements and targets
- Ensure the paperwork package is correct, confirming the customer drawing and the drawing issue status is correct
- Ensure process documents (OIS) are to the correct issue and the contract review has been carried out correctly
- Review the areas to be coated and calculate the thickness required using the process document (PD) and customer drawing
- Check completed parts to customer drawing, job router and PD requirements. Use appropriate documentation and measuring equipment to ensure customer requirements have been met
- When required, raise NCRs (non-conformance reports), inform appropriate departments and raise endorsements on outgoing paperwork

Other duties as required
- Pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
- Fix things that you can see need fixing
- Identify problems and find solutions

**Key Incumbent Requirements**:

- Must have the right to work in UK
- Must be able to use various pieces of measuring equipment, make mathematical calculations and evolve set ups for measuring purposes (unit conversions)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- They must be a flexible individual, with the ability to prioritise their work and adapt to the changing production / quality demands when required; used to working at pace
- Some previous exposure to inspection within manufacturing, coating or aerospace industries would be advantageous

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: From £13.00 per hour
