**Job Vacancy**:Healthcare Assistant
**Location**: Silverpoint Court Residential Care Centre, Silverpoint Marine, Canvey Island, SS8 7TN
**Contracted hours**: 22 - 31 Hours (Various shifts including alt weekends - set 4-week rota).
**Hourly rate of pay**: £10.00/Depending on experience

We are currently on the lookout for a positive and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Health Care Assistant. As with all roles at Nellsar, the job title requires someone who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly. Being a valued and respected member of the team, you will need to have a genuine drive to assist those using our services, including our residents, their families and visitors. **What does the role involve?**
Your role will be key to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents in all aspects of their lives. As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:

- Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis.
- Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
- Assisting with mealtimes.
- Ensuring residents’ independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care.
- Helping to maintain accurate records.
- Undertaking regular ongoing training.

- Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Diploma/NVQ Level 2 desirable for this role
- The ability to work as part of a team
