The Police have recently invested in their Information Services team, people and the structure.

They provide technologies and IT services that directly impact operational policing. From the equipment that frontline officers require to be able to make decisions on the street, big data and analytics, 999/101 Control Room services, technologies that supportdigital investigations and everything in between Information Services is at the heart of it all

**The Role**

You will be the lead technical authority on solution design throughout the project life cycle, leading the Solutions Architects, setting standards for quality assurance and optimal design through an iterative process, aligning the system requirements andorganisational objectives, working closely with and influencing suppliers and partners.

Working alongside the Innovations Manager, the Enterprise Architect will develop the standards alongside the existing and future requirements of the organisation against market leading developments that are taking place in the industry and in the sector,anticipating future need and building use cases.

The police will be looking to you to lead the local Architecture Design Authority and represent Nottinghamshire Police at Design Authorities regionally, nationally and with Partners to influence the development of technical architecture across the service.

They will need you to define, create, maintain and develop the technology roadmap for the Force, ensuring that they are aligned to the National standards, policy and blueprints for Policing.

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Proven knowledge of relevant architectural frameworks, such as TOGAF, with an understanding of architectural disciplines, processes, concepts and best practices
- Experience at delivering EA in a complex, modern, digital workplace and have a clear understanding of what is required for better end user experiences
- Experience in Cloud technologies, cloud strategies and in architecting solutions for the cloud
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and how they can be exploited in real business situations
- Knowledge of development, implementation and integration methodologies
- Experienced at delivering EA transformation experience with Agile delivery methods
- Experience in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies to create Enterprise Architecture policy and blueprints
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the box problem solving skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant sub-systems, technologies, products and procedures to be able to provide solution design services for parts of bigger solutions or for solutions with limited architectural complexity
- In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following Microsoft technologies: Exchange, System Centre Configuration Manager, Virtual Machine Manager, Operations Manager or Data Protection Manager.
- Identifying and analysing risk
- Experience of procurement processes from RFI’s through to Tender evaluation for new contracts and new technology.
