**About the job**

We're looking for a commercially focussed, strategic leader to become our new Head of Commercial - joining the successful E&W Hire team based at York. As the Head of Commercial, you will be tenacious and target-orientated to deliver results, with a strategic focus. You will inspire, manage, and drive your team to further promote the company's hire business to prospective customers through the development of the commercial strategy, driving excellence and performance from your teams, and working collaboratively with other business units. Working with the Managing Director and the Hire Division’s Senior Management Team you will strive to deliver and exceed the strategic goals of the business. By having strong interpersonal skills and being commercially orientated you will be able to appreciate both your team and your customers drivers and think creatively to help shape deals.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Assist the Managing Director in the development of a comprehensive Divisional business strategy in line with the strategic direction of the Portakabin business.
- To contribute to and prepare annual budget and financial plans.
- To analyse and proactively improve the performance and contribution at a strategic level in terms of our working winning activity and driving excellence.
- To drive teams to perform against agreed KPIs to win budgeted annual contract value at the right margin, right cost, and right contractual terms.
- To lead and manage teams, driving excellence in the Division, and support in growing and maintaining key client relationships.
- Ensure appropriate levels of utilisation are maintained, Capex budgets for new buildings are managed appropriately and the fleet of hire buildings is tightly controlled.
