Attention all experienced Behaviour Specialists An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to join our alternative provision school in Horncastle. The role requires an individual who can support students with extremely challenging behaviour in the classroom, this may include but not limited to: students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other related challenges.
Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Specialist Include:
- Patrolling corridors and classrooms.
- Providing individual and group interventions to support student success
- Collaborating with other professionals such as teachers, psychologists, social workers, and school administrators to support student success
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour plans and interventions
- Adhering to all school policies and procedures related to behaviour management and student support
- Continuously seeking opportunities for professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices and interventions for challenging behaviour
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of student behaviour and progress
- Working closely with the school leadership team to develop and maintain a positive and safe school culture.
To be successful as a Behaviour Specialist must:
- Experience working with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other related challenges
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and interventions for challenging behaviour.
- Enhanced DBS
- Right to work in the UK
- 2 satisfactory references
- Comprehensive work history
