Warehouse Supervisor

PURPOSE

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Strategically planning and managing logistics, warehouse and transportation
- Oversight of kit, preparing for events and timely distribution
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers & manufacturers
- Tracking of equipment, managing shortfalls and post event reporting
- Loading of vehicles and assisting Operations Manager with logístical planning
- Maintenance of company assets
- Maintaining an accurate inventory, and using it to predict potential pinch-points and future kit requirements
- Arranging warehouse & catalogue goods
- Overseeing the picking, packing and loading of event kit and stock, and processing returns of same
- Maintaining accurate timesheets for staff and submitting hours to payroll in a timely fashion
- Compiling post-event reports and monthly H&S and Warehouse Report
- Supervising, coaching and training the warehouse workforce
- Meeting cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintaining metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Complying with H&S laws, regulations and requirements etc.
- Planning the day to day running of the department ensuring tasks and targets are delivered
- Ensure all equipment testing, prep and de-prep objectives are met with excellence
- Ensure that all staff adhere to company policies and processes
- Create and implement a training strategy for operational staff
- Liaising with the account & project management team, suppliers and manufacturers
- Stock Management, including shortfalls, maintenance
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS
ESSENTIAL:

- 2 - 3 years solid experience in the warehouse industry/logistics
- Proven leadership & team-management experience
- Self-motivated independent operator capable of working unsupervised & using initiative
- IT literate (solid understanding of Excel) & numerate
- Clear & effective communicator at all levels of the business
- Prepared to work long & antisocial hours according to business needs
PREFERRED:

- Possesses a good network of suppliers and contractors contacts

BUSINESS SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT & CONTEXT:
The business is seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy - busiest periods between June and September. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals.

TRAVEL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Travel required to and from events on an ad-hoc basis during the summer months
- Long days and occasional weekend work will be required

**Salary**: £30,000.00 per year
