**Job Summary - Grade 3 Production Operative**

When you join Peters' Food Services, you will become part of one of the UK’s largest family food manufacturers, based in Bedwas, Caerphilly.

**What you will get**:

Various Shift Patterns available:
- Grade 3 Rates of pay start at £**9.75 **up to £10.97 per hour.

**NB. _Grade 1 pay at £9.50 per hour will be implemented to staff who do not achieve Grade 3 standard after their initial 6 weeks of training_**_._

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- General operative duties.
- **Completion of paperwork** - Record the product weights and ensure it meets spec and record this information.
- Ensure that the quality of the product is consistent and of a high standard.
- Understand the importance that when anything that is out of spec you must alert Team-Leader/Manager.

**Key Skills**
- Organised and flexible with ability to multi-task whilst maintaining accurate records.
- Previous experience working within the food manufacturing sector and a basic knowledge of food manufacturing processes would be advantageous.
- Awareness of Continuous Improvement approach to practices and how to integrate them into best practice manufacturing methods.
- Experience of working according to the requirements of ISO and BRC would be advantageous.
- Manual Handling
- Health and safety
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be a team worker with the ability to work unsupervised and to prioritise own workload.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
