Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner

Our FP&A team plays a crucial role in driving informed decision making, optimising financial performance and supporting the firm achieve its strategic objectives.
The FP&A team sits with the internal finance team working closely with the Finance Business Partners, Tax & Treasury, Finance System Support, as well as many other internal departments, supporting the business with budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and key performance analysis.

A look into the role
As a FP&A Business Partner within our team, you will:
- Work closely with the FR&A Snr Manager and Head of Commercial Finance to assist with the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning- Manage and champion the group’s financial planning systems and models, working with the wider Finance team to continuously improve the quality of forecasting- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions for accurate forecasting and budgeting processes.- Analyse variances between actual results and forecasts, identifying key drivers and providing actionable insights to management.- Manage the general system administration of the financial planning software, ensuring processes are in place, risks are managed, and the system is maintained- Assist the FR&A snr Manager with the preparation of medium and long-term balance sheet and cashflow planning, driven from rolling forecast processes, plus work with the Head of Tax and Treasury to ensure consistency between the short and medium and long term forecasts and reporting on and investigating any variances
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a FP&A Business Partner, the minimum criteria you’ll need to have to have is:
- You will have demonstrable previous knowledge of business planning and forecasting,- Applicants will need to have extensive experience of digital tools such as Power BI, Excel and data cubes.- You will have strong stakeholder management skills for building internal and external networks
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way:
- Ideally you will be full or part qualified (ACA/ACCA/equivalent) and passionate about self-development- You will be able to confidently present complex financial information to senior stakeholders within the firm- Ideally you will have prior experience working with the Workday Adaptive Financial Planning system- You will have a background in or knowledge of a professional services environment- You will need to be able to work well within a team and on also on your own
