**ASSISTANT CONTROLLER**

The Assistant Controller will be a core member of the global Finance / Accounting team. The Assistant Controller will accurately account, manage and reconcile general ledger balances for the company’s international entities (EMEA, APAC and Canada).

**WHO YOU ARE**
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in a high-growth, international company (preferably SaaS / Software)
- CPA Preferred
- Bachelor of Science, Accounting (Master of Accountancy degree preferred)
- Solid understanding of accounting guidance including multiple-element arrangements, lease accounting, software development capitalization, share-based compensation, translation / remeasurement, etc
- SaaS experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience with consolidation and foreign currency issues
- Experience working with mid-level ERP software (Intacct or NetSuite) a plus
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of state sales and income tax reporting and requirements a plus
- Positive, energetic, optimistic attitude, willing to proactively take on responsibilities

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**

**Monthly Duties**
- Review and assist with recording of revenue and revenue reconciliation preparation
- Review and assist with recording of accrued liabilities related to incurred but not invoiced vendor bills
- Review and assist with recording of payroll and benefit journal entries and related reconciliations to payroll registers
- Perform P&L reviews by entity at the month end
- Review and assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Review and assist with accounting for VAT/GST and compliance with related filings
- Review and assist with FX revaluations
- Review and assist with bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely recording of cash transactions
- Review and assist with account balance variances to support monthly BOD reporting
- Review and assist with account reconciliations in Blackline

**Annual Duties**
- Assist with annual corporate year end and audit
- Assist with tax compliance matters
- Review and assist with statutory audits, as needed
- Assist with transfer pricing entries preparation to support tax returns

**Other Duties**
- Provide assistance to Global Revenue Team with review of contracts, as needed
- Provide assistance to Global AR Team with cash collections, as needed
- Provide assistance to Global AP Team with supplier inquiries and/ or management
- Ad hoc accounting projects to automate accounting processes/ functions
- Assist with treasury functions managing international bank accounts
- Assist with administrative compliance
- Work closely with Controller to drive consistent accounting policies and practices globally
