MK Industrial have partnered with a local family run manufacturing business who is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative.
Everyday, their team works relentlessly to design, develop and bring world-leading tactical products that make a difference in the world and the lives of their customers.

**Warehouse Operative duties include**:

- Ensuring that all goods that are unloaded to match the relevant paperwork
- Quality control - identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately
- Taking goods to the appropriate storage space using loading and lifting gear for heavy goods
- Recording of the goods received
- Dealing with returned goods

**Warehouse Management/Stock control**:

- Making sure all stock/goods in is labelled correctly
- Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
- Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
- Monthly stock taking
- Managing stock location catalogues whenever items are moved around the warehouse

**Goods Out**:

- **Ensuring that all goods that are loaded to match the relevant paperwork
- Pack orders in an orderly manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping
- Operate pallet wrapping machine
- Quality control - identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately
- Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for pickup according to a schedule.
- Recording of the goods out

**Order Management**:

- **Ensuring QC is followed throughout production and traceability is noted
- Creating shipment labels and ensuring all shipment documents are correct
- Recording of batch, serial and lot numbers of finished goods and raw materials
- Creating packing lists & delivery notes when required
- Filing and ensuring all orders/shipping paperwork is easily accessible
- Completing production flow documentation to assist with the workflow of active orders
- Assembly of day to day orders and expected to oversee assembly lines when required for large orders.
- Data input for orders progressing through production
- Assisting with order queries

**Ideally you will have the following experience**:

- **Forklift experience
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Previous experience in shipping
- IT skills

**Extra experience/skills that would be particularly useful**
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of staff
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Physical strength and fitness as often have to lift heavy packages or work at elevated heights
- Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
- Honest, reliable and dedicated
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong work ethic

**Salary**: £20-22k
**Hours**: 6.30am - 3pm Monday - Friday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
