I am currently recruiting for a Trade Planning Controller to join a leading retailer based within the Central Office in North London.

Reporting in the Brand & Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading, developing and driving the Trade Planning strategy. Implementing the new Trade Planning process that delivers the promotional planning across the business. Working seamlesslywith internal departments including Trading, Marketing and Brand (product) teams within the Central Office, stores and distribution centres to ensure continuous growth in footfall & spend in-store. Your main responsibilities as the Trade Planning Controllerwill involve;
- Own and deliver the national promotional plan including both Annual & Seasonal plans.
- Implement the national Trade Planning process that delivers the promotional planning activity.
- Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the current promotion plan,
- Streamlining the volume of promotions each period ensuring they work harder to increase basket spend
- Plan a detailed trade plan which will ensure a year-on-year performance increase
- Managing and developing the Trade Planning team
- Continuously reviewing customer, market and brand performance and responding to changing priorities by amending the plan if required
- Producing and maintaining the seasonal promotions calendar
- Managing meetings and team communications

Key requirement for the role;
- Solid Trade Planning experience within fast paced FMCG / Retail / food industry essential.
- Process driven with the ability to analyse / interpret variety of information sources and amend plans accordingly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Educated to degree level ideally in Marketing, Retail or Business
