Medical Receptionist Part Time

Longview Medical Centre is looking to recruit an experienced Part Time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly supportive team. The post is for 30 Hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm.
**Experience of working in an NHS setting is essential.**
Applicants should be computer literate. You will need to work unsupervised so the ability to use your own initiative and prioritise your work is essential.
You must be flexible to cover holidays and staff sickness as and when required.
Salary dependant on experience
**Main duties of the job**
To provide an efficient helpful receptionist service to the GP Practice and ensure that service data is collected, stored, maintained and retrieved effectively whilst continually providing patient confidentiality.
Answering general enquiries, explaining surgery procedures, making new and follow-up appointments and generally advising patients on non clinical matters
Use computerised appointment system as per training
Receiving and recording telephone messages for the Doctor/Nurse.
Ensuring that the reception area is left tidy and ready for use by incoming colleagues together with any information about unresolved or urgent matters
**Overview of your organisation**
Two GP Partners, Practice Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Manager and a team of administrators/receptionists.
