**The Position**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced medical professional to join our team as a Medical Advisor in the therapeutic area of Obesity. As The Medical Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the healthcare industry across United Kingdom by providing expert medical guidance, training, and support to healthcare professionals in both NHS and private market.

This position will be based out of Novo Nordisk Gatwick office.

The key purpose will be
- To drive key medical and scientific projects within the obesity therapy area.
- To work collaboratively with marketing, Sales, Market access departments providing advice on obesity disease area and Novo Nordisk marketed products
- To act as a final Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) signatory and drive Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) related activities
- Medical and Scientific Advisory services for internal & external stakeholders including:

- Maintaining strong knowledge on disease area and related key therapeutics
- The identification and development of Key Opinion Leaders
- Medical / scientific support to commercial leads regarding campaigns, and other marketing materials
- Other medical and scientific support duties as assigned
- Contribute to development of Obesity Medical Affairs strategy and plan in association with medical leadership team
- In collaboration with cross-functional team contribute to the development of integrated evidence plans
- Drive publication planning and strategy
- Partner with healthcare systems and medical associations to identify and develop solutions along clinical care pathways to support improved patient outcomes
- To ensure guidance and trainings internally on our products’ use to cross-functional team
- To ensure compliance with ABPI, PMCPA and/or MHRA requirements and all other relevant codes for materials and activities/projects

**Qualifications**
- It is desirable that the individual has clinical experience of working in obesity or related metabolic diseases and good knowledge of UK healthcare environment.
- It is preferable, although not mandatory that the applicant is an ABPI final medical signatory & has relevant experience of working as medical signatory within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong communication and networking capability together with excellent presentation and training skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English

**About the Department**

Obesity Medical Affairs is a department within the Clinical, Medical & Regulatory (CMR) department, responsible for the medical and scientific dialogue supporting the appropriate use of innovative treatments including Novo Nordisk products.

Medical Affairs ensure that Novo Nordisk’s activities are undertaken in an ethical and appropriately scientific manner, thereby safeguarding the trust and respect of health care professionals and patients. The Department is divided into an office team of Medical Advisors and a field team of Regional Medical Advisors and obesity education facilitators.
