Key Responsibilities:

- Painting & Decorating: Carry out day-to-day painting and decorating maintenance and refurbishment works in tenanted properties, including preparatory work, undercoating, and glossing.
- Project Coordination: Undertake new installation works and remedial repairs as required.
- Multi-Skilled Tasks: Perform a range of cross-trade multi-skilling tasks as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all related paperwork and electronic documentation.
- Mentorship: Mentor apprentices, trainees, or other employees as assigned, and participate in training and development programs.
- Resource Management: Maintain a stock of materials and equipment within the provided Council vehicle.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with current health and safety regulations and standards.
- Customer Communication: Work within the pre-allocated appointment system, liaise directly with tenants, planners, site agents, and managers to ensure effective coordination of appointments.
- Diagnostic Work: Carry out pre-inspection and diagnostic work to complete repairs efficiently.
- Problem Solving: Make decisions on repair requirements and seek advice for issues not identified in original orders.
- Additional Duties: Perform other relevant duties as directed by the site agent or manager.

Requirements:

- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Painting and Decorating. A full valid driving licence is essential.
- Experience: Proven experience in painting and decorating maintenance work, particularly in tenanted residential properties.
- Skills: Competency in a range of multi-skilling disciplines, excellent customer care, and commitment to health and safety.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, including in Welsh (desirable).

Desirable:

- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced City and Guilds in Painting and Decorating, current CSCS Card.
