**Interim Fund Accountant**

Alexander Daniels have been engaged by a market leading financial services organisation to help them recruit an experienced Fund Accountant/ Administrator for an initial 6 month interim contract. My client is able to offer hybrid or remote working for thesuccessful Fund Accountant/ Administrator.
**Interim Fund Accountant/ Administrato**r position sits within the Private Markets Middle Office team and will support the Private Markets Investment Management Front Office. The role will be supporting fund administration activities includingcashflow/treasury management, fund accounting and quarterly performance reporting. The Interim Fund Accountant/ Administrator will have a wide range of financial reporting and financial management responsibilities in addition to compliance with financial policiesand procedures.
**Interim Fund Accountant/ Administrator duties will include**:

- Entity administration activities including
- Preparing cashflow notices and managing cashflow activity with investors and investments
- Bank and cash management and reconciliation
- Managing foreign exchange requirements
- Monitoring, processing and payment of invoices
- Oversight of the Fund Administrator for outsourced services including reviewing ongoing KPI and SLA performance
- Resolving investor queries
- Supporting internal audits

**Accounting and Reporting services**
- Maintaining investment and accounting records
- Reconciling financial statement line items
- Supporting valuation of investments
- Annual accounts preparation in compliance with FRS 102
- Preparing performance calculations
- Annual financial statement audit liaison
- Cost transparency reporting
- Preparation of quarterly performance reporting

**Regulatory and compliance**
- Periodic monitoring and review of the investors admitted and entities activity
- Compliance monitoring and reporting
- Formulating and implementing detailed compliance procedures in relation to applicable regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with tax advisor for partnership tax compliance and tax structuring
- Ensuring compliance with Limited Partnership Agreement for administrative functions

**Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Competence/ Qualifications**:

- Immediately available or on a short notice period
- Qualified CCAB/CIMA Accountant; or Part-qualified CCAB/CIMA Accountant with strong relevant experience.
- Previous Fund Administration and/or Fund Accounting experience for Private Market investments, from either an Asset Management or Fund Administrator background.
- Some previous experience of supporting any of Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure, Property investments is a must.
- An understanding of the roles played by an outsourced administrator.
- Any experience of eFront or similar platforms would be an advantage.
- Competent grasp of the 'life of a trade' structure, knowledge of investment and accounting requirements and preparation of call and distribution notices.
- Understanding of regulations pertaining to Private Market investments.
- Proven track record of outstanding customer service, ideally servicing Financial Institutions.
- High attention to detail, analytical.
- Able to communicate complex and highly-technical matters in a way which is understandable and relevant.
- Confidence when communicating.
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, able to develop pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
- Able to build effective relationships across all levels of the company.
- Highly organised and able to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities under significant time pressures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and people management skills.
- Ability to challenge appropriately.
- Ability to think outside the box.

Salary on offer is £50k to £60k and may be negotiable dependant on experience. There is an extensive benefits package and details are available on request including 30 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension employer contribution is 20%.
