**Finance Analyst**

**Organisational Overview**

Established in 2010, Our client has been a critical pillar of the government’s automatic pensions enrolment programme.

**Directorate/ Department Overview**

The Finance team is split into the following areas: Business Partnering, Corporate Finance, Scheme Modelling and Pension Scheme Accounting.

The Corporate Finance Team is responsible for:
The financial well-being of the company through effective budgeting, forecasting monitoring and reporting of all corporation finances.

Production of high-quality monthly management accounts for budget holders

Managing and delivery of specific key external publications relevant to the Corporation such as CARA, the FFRF and Master Trust Submissions.

Supporting key initiatives with insightful and accurate financial analysis. Assisting presenting outcomes to ExCo and NCGB

Designing and leading the corporation wide business plan process and business cases. Assisting presenting outcomes to ExCo and NCGB;
Providing challenge to the Scheme Modelling team to ensure the development of business modelling and simulation tools meet the needs of Business Planning and the wider business.

Developing and maintaining a culture of financial awareness and value for money across Nest

Delivering a high-quality financial planning process that ensures resources are effectively prioritised

Managing Nest Corporation’s funding arrangements with the DWP

Maintaining the accounts payable for the Corporation and processing payments for expenditure.

Ensuring integrity of the Corporations general ledger and that routine finance reconciliations supporting the Corporation financial statements are completed.

**Experience and technical skills**

Some experience of working in a finance environment, and an understanding of the role of finance in supporting business objectives

Experience of embedding financial awareness within the business

Previous experience of month end management accounting processes would be beneficial

Very strong numerical skills

Experience of working with SAGE 200 is desirable

Intermediate-advanced level of Excel knowledge

Basic understanding of pensions and investments

AAT qualified or similar

Degree qualified or equivalent
