Field Service Engineer

A Field Service Engineer sought for a well-established niche manufacturer of hi-tech electrical and electronic capital equipment, who are true specialists in their industry. The company are experiencing ongoing growth and success within their markets.

The role would suit an experienced Field Service Engineer, from an electronics or electrical background, experienced with preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis. Assisting in product design and processes improvement initiatives within the manufacturingprocess would be advantageous. Applicants with experience in electronics or electrical manufacturing are especially encouraged to apply.

Going into the UK team of 3, you will be responsible for all expenses paid, worldwide travel within Europe and the US, to provide customers with on-site repair and preventative maintenance support. You will provide product fault diagnosis, technical telephonesupport, system repair and also delivering customer training on the electronic and electrical equipment provided.

The role:

- Provide customers overseas with on-site repair, maintenance and technical telephone support
- Deliver customer training as required
- Travel worldwide to provide customer support on the electronic and electrical equipment supplied by the company
- Keep customer files up to date, including service records and any other documentation
- Provide support to product engineers and engineering group on product design and business processes
- Travelling for up to 2 weeks of each month

The person:

- Experience within a customer facing role
- Broad engineering knowledge of fault finding, repair, maintenance and training customers
- Able to prioritise workload in line with customer and business needs
- Experience of mechanical systems, machine tool and hi-tech capital equipment
- Hold a formal qualification in an Electronic or Electrical Engineering discipline
