BCP FuturePlaces Ltd is a new Urban Regeneration Company (URC) set up by BCP Council to deliver transformational placemaking and sustainable growth to develop the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole local authority area as a truly world class, coastal city region.
The company’s vision is one of a stewardship
- led, transformative regeneration, building attractive, sustainable communities and assets of lasting value. The company will be the central delivery vehicle for the Council’s Big Plan - including 12 major sites with a gross development value of over £2bn - and will provide expert support in strategic planning, place making, development inception and management, commercial property investment and project finance.
We are now seeking two outstanding graduates to join the FuturePlaces team to support our £2.3bn regeneration of the BCP area. Both will work within the corporate function side of the business, with a high level of exposure to property research development inception and appraisal. These roles will be ideally suited to those with a real estate, land, geography or economics related degree and are keen to kick start their career with an exciting new start-up within regeneration.
From day one, your role will be incredibly hands-on. We’re a start-up business with a small team so expect real responsibility and exposure to key projects and people from the start. You will have close contact with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. In the morning, you could be working with property developers on multi million-pound construction projects and in the afternoon you could be working with investment banks on funding. Furthermore, you will be working closely with council leadership and teams to ensure all objectives are successfully met.

**The roles**
**_Role 1 - Corporate Development - _**To work on all elements of corporate development. There will also be a strong focus on property market research, project inception, briefing and design quality management. You will also support the Managing Director on various daily ad-hoc activities.
**_Role 2 - Finance - _**Supporting the finance and business side of the company, you will be numerate and have excellent Excel skills. Your role will involve financial modelling, project appraisal and writing business case documents for the Board as well as supporting the Chief Operating Officer on various daily ad-hoc activities.
**About you**
**Skills / Knowledge**
- Degree in real estate, land, geography or economics related degree discipline
- Strong organisation skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, in a planned, controlled and appropriate manner with all
- Analytical; curiosity with excellent attention to detail, excellent report writing skills
- Good research skills
- Good awareness of policy development in the real estate and planning space
- Keen interest in urban regeneration and placemaking

**Other Important Information**
Must be able to travel, using public or other forms of transport where viable or by holding a valid UK driving licence with access to a car. Willing and able to travel to work at our offices in Poole, Dorset and other locations when required.
