Social Media Executive

**Role summary**:
We are looking for a full time Social Media Executive to work across our running, cycling and swimming events - including the TCS London Marathon and Ride London. Working in the Marketing and Communications team and reporting to our Social Media Lead, you will assist with day-to-day operations within our social team - including posting, monitoring and review.

You should have experience of using multiple social media accounts as well as the ability to make decisions based on the analysis of key trends using reporting and listening software.

You will know whether content is best suited to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and be capable of sparking and engaging with online discussions. Responsibilities include content posting, interacting with our online communities in real time and creating engaging relevant content as directed by the Social Media Lead.

You will have a track record in engaging with social media and be self-motivated. A team player with a positive outlook and the ability to contribute effectively to team and organisational objectives. You will be expected to work evenings and weekends when necessary at our events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Comfortable posting and interacting across multiple social platforms including TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
- A good knowledge of the social media landscape
- A track record in creating and developing engaging, relevant and emotive social media content
- You’re aware of emerging trends and new opportunities
- A self-starter with good attention to detail and someone who is highly organised
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities

**Desirable skills and experience**:

- Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop
- A good understanding of both elite and mass participation marathon running and cycling

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
