**On Site Lifting Equipment Inspector/Engineer - Hinkley Point**

**About The Role**

Are you an experienced Lifting Engineer either based in a workshop or on site in or around the Bridgwater area, and ready for your next career move to a Company that really values your contribution? Then our Inspection and Testing team would like to speak with you

Permanently based on HPC as a Lifting Equipment Engineer you’ll be responsible for carrying out on-site inspections on lifting equipment and lifting accessories, in accordance with LOLER Regulations, as well as take the lead on site testing of beams and anchor points. You will work closely with existing key accounts on HPC to offer first class customer service, whilst also trying to develop new accounts.

Your knowledge and experience would allow you to advise customers on solutions to their enquiries, whilst your hands on approach would allow you to carry out thorough examinations, recognise defective items, conduct the necessary repairs effectively and restore the equipment to a safe working condition
- Carry out inspection on various types of Lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER & PUWER
- Service Repair and Inspect Lifting equipment on customer sites and the companies workshop
- Complete necessary paperwork in line with the companies set procedures
- Adhere to Quality, Health and Safety Environment regulations

To succeed as a Lifting Engineer you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours
- Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual/Powered Hoists, Lifting Beams, Runway Beams plus various other forms of Lifting and Handling Equipment

Experience of Load testing, namely anchor points, and beams
- LEEA Qualifications essential
- Good Understanding of method statements and risk assessments
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Attention to detail and accuracy when completing paperwork
- A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering required

Hours 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Overtime at enhanced rate
