A privately owned commercial property construction business based in Shrewsbury are looking to appoint a new Quantity Surveyor
The role:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager with responsibility for the financial performance of house building and commercial projects.
Overall responsibilities of the role:
Project cost control - site budgets, value engineering, monitoring actual costs, monthly valuations, progress and stock on site.
Implement wherever possible value engineering solutions & strategy to optimise profit and efficiency for the business.
Attend project Team meetings, sharing site budgets, cost variances.
Sub-contractor enquiries, analysis and orders, including Roads, sewers & Groundworks.
Labour only estimates. Sub-contractor valuations - progress, site measurements, variations, retentions, contra charges and final accounts.
Customer variations - site specific pricing, one off quotations, sub-contractor orders and monitoring costs.
Report on weekly sales completions.
Projects are commercial property and include schools,hospitals,offices,retail units and industrial units.

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as a Quantity Surveyor in a similar commercial property environment including schools,hospitals,offices,retail units and industrial projects ranging from £2million to £10 million in value
