We are recruiting for a **Safe System of Work Planner** to join us here at Octavius.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

**You'll be working on. (what your role and responsibility is)**:
Ensuring compliance with rail industry safety standards, procedures, and Network Rail Rule Book requirements by planning and documenting Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for trackside activities. This includes accurate planning of SWPs using RailHub/Ontrac systems, communicating them effectively, and overseeing the safety of personnel working near rail lines.

A team of highly motivated, dedicated professionals delivering projects across a variety of frameworks, collaborating closely with both internal and external clients, including Network Rail. You'll also build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective delivery.

You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting strict deadlines. You have strong safety-critical communication skills and a solid understanding of rail planning and operations.

**You'll bring(your wealth of experience & qualifications)**:

- Experience with RailHub/Ontrac systems and PPS
- Excellent planning and communication skills
- Knowledge of COSS/PC/ES/PICOP and Electrified Lines Working Instructions
- Experience with On Track Plant, Machines, and Engineering Trains
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- GCSE-level English & Maths
- Possession of relevant rail industry qualifications and competencies, or equivalent experience
