We are currently looking for confident, enthusiastic and caring individuals who wish to work in a fast paced, challenging, but equally rewarding environment. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that are friendly and passionate about providing the best experience for our patients.
The Mental Health Support Worker team on Seaview also support patients within the Health Based Place of Safety based at St Ann’s Hospital. The primary function of the Health Based Place of Safety is to provide a safe place for people being detained under Section 136 of the MHA to be brought to by the Police.
Seaview Ward provides treatment and care for a wide range of mental health illnesses. The aim of all staff is to provide a high quality of care and treatment for patients who have physical, social, psychological and emotional health needs and enable them to return home.
We are seeking to recruit compassionate, and motivated individuals who wish to work in a fast paced and, at times, challenging environment. You will need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with patients and colleagues.

In return for joining us on Seaview ward you will become a valued member of our multi-disciplinary team and have a say in how our service continues to develops. We are a friendly, enthusiastic team that pride ourselves on the quality of our service and the skills and dedication of our staff. We aim to promote a calm and therapeutic environment which enables patients to overcome their current difficulties and move forwards with their recovery.
You will need to have an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and be able to meet with the NHS values of ensuring respect and dignity, be committed to providing a high quality of care, behave with compassion and kindness, help to improving peoples’ lives, work as a team to meet patients’ needs and making sure that everyone counts.

You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.
