**Enterprise Architect** **12 Month Contract - Up to £1,000 per day** **Role of Department** Enterprise Business Architecture is part of the Strategic Operations team within our Client. **The role of Enterprise Business Architecture is to**: - Inform change investment decisions based on Target Operating Model designs - Provide input into the development and delivery of the client's strategy, providing recommendations for design and implementation - Design optimal Target Operating Models based on strategic input and target capability maturity - Manage impacts to current, interim and target states from internal and external led changes - Map and document current, interim and target states to reflect the evolution and transformation of the client - Work with senior management to assist in the development and delivery of growth strategies based on an in-depth understanding of customer needs - Support BAU initiatives with design decisions **Key Responsibilities of the Enterprise Business Architect** As an Enterprise Business Architect, you will undertake architectural leadership to design and drive the successful delivery of a target architecture within and across the client. Your goal is to provide leadership and direction in alignment within the EBAteam and your designated business units to deliver the Enterprise Target Operating Model. **Developing the Enterprise Business Architecture function**: - Lead the creation and management of Business Architecture models for various areas of the client - Identify opportunities for capability improvement and develop plans to capitalise on those opportunities - Define and maintain architecture frameworks including: - Operating Model Performance - Systems of Record - Value Streams and Critical Processes - Business Motivation - Capability Maturity - Operating Model Design - Identify opportunities to leverage operating model solutions across the enterprise, where appropriate. - Embed and support the Design Authority and Design Principles to all change activities, strategic and tactical, to ensure they support Operating Model and Strategy targets - Prepare and review Business Architecture documentation, illustrations, and presentations - Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Business Architecture tool - Support in the development of Business Architects and Operating Model Analysts. - Work with IT architects to collaborate on the best solutions. - Work with the broader Strategic Operations team as a liaison to co-ordinate activities required for Enterprise Business Architecture purposes **Strategy alignment**: - Identify the impacts and requirements of strategic initiatives on different aspects of the business architecture (Capability, value stream, information, organisation, tools) - Provide views to ensure that initiatives remain aligned with target and interim states - Manage target state outcomes and their alignment to local, global and group strategy. - Be a key liaison on change initiatives across the business and their alignment to strategy and target operating Models **Implementation of Target Architecture** - Document and maintain the business architecture for the organisation - Oversee the roadmap of deliveries and articulate their impact to target and interim states. - Develop and maintain a knowledge base "business architecture" to have up-to-date organisational blueprints - Contribute to the culture of Continuous Improvement to achieve target states - Be a role model to the change and business communities by being open, positive, and enthusiastic in leading change and collaboration - Establish a governance process based to the Enterprise TOM governance. **Conduct Risk** Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of your role, and the demonstration of behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role, is core to our clients commitment to placing customers at the centre of ourbusiness and behaving with integrity. These requirements include Solvency II, fair treatmentof customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing **Skills and Experience** - Significant experience in designing and architecting cross-operating model solutions on a global scale. - Significant experience in using architecture to drive and deliver business value - Familiarity with a wide range of EBA techniques, methodologies, and frameworks - Experience of understanding the relationships, dependencies and impacts of change on multiple systems and processes - Appreciation of various change and improvement methodologies - Knowledge in all aspects of designing and constructing business processes, functions, and organisational structures. - Demonstrable experience of working with Senior and Executive stakeholders - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and oral - Ability to facilitate differing views and priorities to achieve a sequenced order of delivery. - Deep understanding and experience of working in the global Insurance business - Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment using techniques such as Kanban, Backlog planning and prioritisation.
