**Service Line**:Mental Health Adults

**Summary of the site**

Woking Hospital and Woking Lodge provide care and support to over 90 patients. Our therapeutic pathways follow agreed models of care for a range of mental health conditions, including acute and intensive care wards, low secure wards and rehabilitation wards.

**Clinical**:You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction for between 11-16 people on an Acute Ward or Low Secure ward. Each ward is supported by an OT assistant.You will work with a full multidisciplinaryteam in a coordinated way to support each person to develop their skills and move through our clinical model of care from admission to discharge.

Our main aim is to help people stabilise and achieve discharge to the least restrictive environment as soon as possible. Therapeutic support is provided by a diverse and specialist multi-disciplinary team, of which occupational therapy is an integral part.

**Occupational Therapy Directorate**

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & becomeinvolved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.

**Occupational Therapy Preceptorship & Induction**

We understand the pandemic has brought with it challenging times, and we recognise this may have had an impact on some of your placement experiences. We offer an Occupational Therapy 12 month preceptorship programme to support and consolidate core OccupationalTherapy Skills.
