Our Bedford branch is looking to recruit an experienced service technician (fitter) to carry out high standard repairs to own and customers’ machines according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Our equipment goes out on hire with sometimes short turnarounds but still must meet our safety and test and run standards before re hire to the next customer.
The equipment range includes power tools, lifting equipment, generators, mini plant and much more. You will ensure that spares are requested in order to facilitate the speedy repair of equipment and that damaged/worn stickers are replaced.
Equipment is to be tested in line with test and run procedures, making sure it’s clean and fit for purpose whilst identifying repairs and status allocating correctly on the system. You may also be required to attend breakdowns at customers’ sites when required.
We are looking to hear from applicants who can demonstrate experience of equipment repairs, who have worked in a similar operation where timescales can be tight and deadlines need to be met. If you believe in producing quality workmanship that lasts andtake a pride in finding the solution, we would love to hear from you.
**Can you offer what we are looking for?**
We would expect you to have a basic mechanical or electrical qualification
Experience in the workplace of repairing various types of mechanical equipment
Some IT skills as automated administration processes are in place
A full UK Driving licence is essential
