**Production Operative/Machine Operator**

An opportunity has become available for a Production Operative to join our growing team at Prefix Systems, a leading conservatory roof system manufacturer.

We have built our business on providing all our customers with first class levels of service, both before and after sales, which sets us apart from other conservatory system fabricators.

At Prefix Systems we are passionate about our people and have a real team ethos. As part of your role you will be provided training for a variety of disciplines on the shop floor and will be semi-autonomous in your work, giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills to become a valuable member of the team.

To be successful in this role you must display strong attention to detail and quality, as well as excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. You must also be able to work well with people and demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
- Previous experience of fabrication within a manufacturing setting (desirable).

Other duties include:

- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment and follow all company policy, safety and procedures.
- Standing for long periods of time and meet other physical demands such as walking, bending, stooping and lifting.
- Wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment at all times to prevent exposure and risk of injury to general shop floor hazards such as high noise.
- Being willing to learn new skills.
- Being willing to provide cover for various roles across the shop floor and other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am until 4pm and Friday 7am until 3pm. Overtime at an enhanced hourly rate may also be available and required during times of high demand.
