Diagnosis & Testing Technical Author

We have an exciting opportunity for a Diagnosis & Testing Technical Author to support our Agricultural Authoring team in Warwick.
In role, you will create diagnostic procedures that enable a technician to rectify mechanical or electrical faults in a timely manner, with a 1st time-fix approach.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Create project diagnostic procedures. These include DTC help text, On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) documents, step-by-step pinpoint test routines, and symptom charts.
- Collation of technical documentation from engineering to create service documentation
- Attend engineering meetings and reviews to obtain information and/or sign off
- Participate in team development activities/initiatives
**Person Specification**:
- Have previous experience with diagnosis and rectification of faults
- Strong understanding of vehicle/plant machinery/agricultural electrical systems and components
- An understanding of vehicle/machinery communication bus systems such as CAN, LIN, and MOST (a basic understanding is essential)
- Experience with HEV, PHEV, MHEV and EV diagnosis and repair (a basic understanding is essential)
- A good understanding of vehicle/machinery datalogger systems is desirable (a basic understanding is essential)
- An understanding or user of symptom driven diagnostics tools (desirable but not essential)
- Capable of working with multiple projects of work simultaneously, in a fast paced environment
- Confident in communication with internal and external stakeholders (previous experience working in a customer facing role would be desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and able to work with mínimal supervision
- A commitment to effective team working
- Excellent PC / file organisation skills are essential
- Able to manage your own large projects and report monthly status to the project leader
- Ability to prioritise your own workload and deliver to agreed deadlines (in some instances being flexible around working hours as required)
- Must present well in front of customers
- Capable of working remotely on customer sites or at home as the business requires

- 40 Hours Monday - Friday
