_Destination Education is currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join an SEND provision within a post 16 college in the London Borough of Enfield. The Learning Support Assistant will be supporting the head physiotherapist with the deliveryof hydrotherapy programmes for young adults with learning disabilities in addition to general learning support assistant duties within the classroom._
- The specialist provision has state of the art facilities catered for young adults with a wide range of special educational needs. They offer practical and vocational learning therapies that develop living, working and communication skills, enhanced by excellentfacilities including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, sports hall, physiotherapy facilities, art and crafts rooms and much more._
- Ideal Learning Support Assistant:

- _
- _Awareness and understanding of special educational needs including PMLD, autism, communication difficulties and/or physical difficulties_
- _An understanding or interest in physiotherapy and/or hydrotherapy_
- _Ability to promote positive peer relationships and work well as part of a team (physiotherapy team and the wider college)_
- _Excellent communication skills and able to relate well to young people and adults_
- _Enthusiasm for training i.e manual handing/hoist, hydrotherapy or first aid_
- This Learning Support Assistant role will predominantly be to support the head physiotherapist with any duties in line with physio or hydro for students with learning disabilities. Experience can be within or outside an education setting and will be startingon a full time basis from September._
