Analyst Developer

About the Role

You will also research, design, document, and modify technical specifications throughout the development of solutions, IT service support escalations, ensuring a fully maintained and current knowledge bank.
You will participate in working sessions with functional and business team members to identify requirements for new functionality/programs or changes to existing programs.

About you
You will have experience in working with interface processes between multiple systems, as well as the following technical tools:

- Analyse and assess existing business systems and procedures from a technical specification perspective, challenging and refining based on collected business requirements
- Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal/external departments/suppliers
- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
- Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users
- Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
- Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues
- Assist the wider IT team with software improvements and upgrades as required
- Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems which are escalated outside of 'run' service and operations teams
- Design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging before any solutions are handed over to BAU 'run' teams within IT
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
- Generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process
- Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines
- Train end users to operate new or modified programs

Applied Skills, Knowledge, Experience

Essential:
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and/or 5 years equivalent work experience (programming, interface configuration, specification writing as a minimum)
Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with 2-5 year's experience.
Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
