Progress Care solutions are a specialised service providing care and support to children and adults with disabilities across the West Midlands and Staffordshire within a variety of settings such as supported living and community-based support.
As an organisation we recognise that every person is entitled to live the life they choose, to develop new skills and to become as independent as they possibly can. Our organisational values, care, trust, respect and progress provide the foundation of our ethos.
We are currently looking for staff to support young people who have been referred to our Service. As a Family support Worker you will be supporting children who have special education needs to work towards set outcomes and goals that are tailored to each individual child’s needs and aims. This can be something such as learning to ride a bike or gaining more confidence and independence to access a variety of services in the community.
There is an element of paperwork associated with this job role, this would include for example documenting progress being made with the child and reviewing their outcomes. You would also be expected to help contribute to their community care plan and assist in producing any relevant risk assessments identified to ensure that when the child is being supported there safety does not pose a risk to themselves or to others.
The role would suit people who have experience of working with children and young people with additional needs, or students who are looking to gain real life experience to assist with their studies. The role requires someone who has the patience and understanding to help the young people aim high, gain confidence and move forward.
This is role requires a degree of flexibility, therefore we are looking for people that are willing to work evenings and weekends. You must be able to organise your own work schedule to ensure allocated support hours are met.

**Salary**: £9.55-£13.00 per hour
