We're looking for fun, friendly and capable Front of House members to join our growing company & experienced existing team.

Team Member - Front of House

Role: Part-Time (15 - 32 hours)

Working: Tuesday - Thursday + One Weekend Day

Pay: £10.25 per hour

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

**Job Overview**:

- Help to prepare delicious meals according to our recipes and menu
- Able to follow instructions in preparing and portioning well-prepared meals
- Help to ensure the smooth flow of service for customers and team
- Able to engage with customers, take orders and communicate items clearly with the rest of the team
- Deft in moving around the restaurant and apt in multi-tasking
- Able to confidently serve meals and drinks

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Read food orders and portion, plate and bag food for restaurant and takeaway sales.
- Maintain a clean and orderly front of house area by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly & no cross contamination exists.
- Comply with sanitation & hygiene guidelines
- Engage with Supervisor & ensure meals are to their satisfaction
- Undertake basic waiting duties in restaurant
- Maintain a clean and orderly bar and restaurant by clearing dishes and glassware, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and drink are served correctly according to customer orders
- Comply with sanitation & hygiene guidelines
- Communicate with customers to ensure they are enjoying their experience
- Engage with Supervisor & ensure standards are to their satisfaction
- Perform other bar / restaurant duties as assigned
- Able to follow the checklists and cleaning list created by shift supervisor to plan duties
- Escalate any HSE, staff or other issues to the manager where appropriate for resolution

**Skills needed OR willing to learn**:

- Able to follow set procedures and menus
- Experience in front of house role
- Proven experience as waiting/front of house role preferred, passion for the role essential
- Some knowledge of health and safety rules (HACCP, COSHH, fire safety etc)
- Able to operate basic restaurant / bar equipment & utensils (pay terminals etc)
- Knowledge of food and drink menus
- A team player with good communication skills
- Confidence to engage with customers when serving tables, preparing meals or over the phone
- Availability to work Tuesday to Thursday, plus one weekend shift a week.
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Training from a previous employer will be an asset
- Passion for food is ESSENTIAL

We serve FRESH TexMex street food from our sit-in and takeaway site in Edinburgh, with all of our menu made daily using quality, natural ingredients

Started in 2015 as a pop-up food stall around Aberdeenshire, FreshMex can now be found in Aberdeen (burrito restaurant + takeaway) and Edinburgh (burrito restaurant + takeaway).

The FreshMex Burrito was officially Deliveroo’s most popular takeaway dish in Scotland in 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021, 3rd most popular in the UK and 14th on the worldwide list in 2021
