BAM FM is recruiting a Cleaning Supervisor to join the team at Wallyford Learning Campus in Musselburgh, East Lothian. Working 32.5 hours per week 3.30pm - 10.00pm Monday - Friday.

The FM Cleaning Supervisor is required to manage and co-ordinate the direct delivery of the cleaning services. You will be responsible for the supervision of a team of up to 10 cleaning staff and will take the lead to provide clean and hygienic school/leisure environment, which meets specific cleaning standards.

**Principle Accountabilities**:
People
- Supervision and development of the soft services team to successfully achieve company, team and individual goals and objectives to achieve and exceed the service delivery requirements.
- Create and maintain effective individual and team working relationships with the FM team and the client and their representatives.

**Operational**
- Manage cleaning performance through completion of planned audits and report results and recommendations to the Facilities Manager.
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment.
- Organise staff and staff allocation in the event of staff shortages, sickness absence and holiday absence.
- Monitor and manage stock and supplies.
- Carry out toolbox talks and inductions.
- Report faulty equipment, maintenance requirements and damages to appropriate person.
- Maintain security of the building by securing doors and windows and reporting potential security issues/breaches.
- Carry out other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time by BAM FM and client management.
- Cover for the Janitor as and when required.
- Any other FM related duties.

**Compliance**
- Implement all aspects of safety while carrying out your duties.
- Responsibility for the implementation of Health and Safety, quality, environmental system requirements ensuring compliance with all legislation and BAM FM policy and procedures.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Relevant previous experience of cleaning at Supervisor level is essential
- Good communication skills
- Good performance monitoring abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions
- Strong knowledge of COSHH
- BICs educated advantageous
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (PVG) applicable for children preferred.
- Ability to understand and work to the BAM values.
