**Employment Type**: Full-time, Permanent, 9 days over 2 weeks, occasional unsocial hours and regularly working away from home.

**Role Objectives**:
**Main Responsibilities**:

- Assist the surveyor by recording a swathe of topographical features using a pole-mounted GPS receiver.
- Ensure survey equipment is cleaned, charged and fit for use at all times.
- Carry out office work related to survey data such as editing photos and raw data.
- Be prepared to carry equipment to support the surveyors.
- Carry out daily risk assessments.
- Undertake Health and Safety Training.
- Ad-hoc tasks supporting the surveying team such as painting survey pegs, cleaning vehicles and maintenance of general equipment.

**Personal Requirements**:

- 5 GCSE’s grade 4-9, or equivalent. Must have English and Maths.
- Excellent communication skills and promote a positive and professional culture with colleagues.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Be a good team player with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Be self-motivated, proactive and have the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, specifically word and excel.
- Be organised with an ability to multitask and keep paperwork up to date and in order.
- Physically fit, to be able to carry out a substantial amount of walking on undulating terrain and in poor weather conditions.
