Marble Mosaics Ltd are importers of natural stone based in Plumpton Green, East Sussex. We import stone in shipping containers from many countries around the world where it is then sold on to our customers in the UK and beyond.Duties will include picking and picking orders that will travel the length and breadth of the UK, and Europe, therefore attention to detail is key - as an incorrect order, potentially weighing several thousand kilo's, sent 700 miles away to the Highlands of Scotland, is an expensive error to rectify, subsequently a competent intellect level is required. A forklift licence is beneficial, but not crucial, and the ability to juggle several things at the same time is something that you will need to be capable of, you could be picking / packing orders under time pressure, whilst being required to deal with a customer query within our showroom, and answer the phone, sometimes all at the same time, so a calm, level headed persona is advantageous, as it can often be a very busy place to work - full training will be given however, and somebody who is a quick learner would certainly be a " tick in the box" as far as we are concerned, as there will a lot to take-in to begin with - as there often is any new job. Heavy lifting is involved on a regular basis and this is often for the duration of the day whilst packing orders in to pallets / crates, there will also be a requirement to load customers and, take orders, so some basic computer skills would be advantageous, as would a sociable personality given the nature of the job and dealing with the public / trade. The job is a flat 0830 am - 1630 pm Mon - Fri, the successful individual will preferably have a driving licence due to the location of our business address.
