**The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Activity Coordinator. Day-to-day, you will coordinate and deliver a program of educational and social activities across the boroughs of Lewisham and Croydon as part of anenthusiastic team of students and volunteers. Duties will include providing direct group and one-on-one activities to clients in community settings as needed, with assistance from the Client Development Manager and Operations team.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of an Activity Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

- Work effectively as a member of a team in providing a Client Development program, social, educational and recreational activities.
- Work in partnership with other staff members to support clients in set up and achieve SMART goals, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment.
- Work with members of the team to deliver a programme of activities to encourage engagement, promote enjoyment and alleviate boredom.
- Engage clients in the design and evaluation of the activity programme.
- Facilitate clients’ groups, meetings and one-to-one sessions, planned with the Client Development Manager.
- To risk assess activities.
- Participate in the induction, training and supervision of students and volunteers.
- Monitor clients progress, taking account of their environment and adjust own interventions, accordingly, promoting a recovery approach.
- Keep up-to-date records and reports of sessions.

**The Organisation
Quo Vadis Trust (QVT) is a specialist housing charity in Southeast London. We provide a service to people who have mental health issues, or who have been rough sleeping, or are care leavers and who need support with their housing. **The Person
The key skills and qualities of an Activity Coordinator are:

- Formal qualification in Health & Social Care or Psychology.
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
- Demonstrable experience of working in health/social care/teaching setting.
- Experience of training others in technical/ leisure skills.
- Experience of report/letter writing and form filling.
- Detailed knowledge of leisure/creative/technical activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of professionals and agencies via face-to-face contact, by telephone and in writing.
- An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people who experience mental health needs.
