Based at our Cambridge, MA site, as the Research Intern, you will serve as a critical contributor to the development and integration of Sartorius’ emerging technologies for characterization and purification of different types of nanoparticles such as extracellular vesicles and exosomes. These leading-edge platforms will be utilized in basic research as well as the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

**What you will accomplish together with us**
- Development & testing of Sartorius’ emerging platforms and processes for nanoparticles (e.g., extracellular vesicles) analytics and purification.
- Conceive, research & support development of prototype platforms through to proof of concept.
- Work closely with Sartorius product management and development teams to prioritize areas of technology research, expected to extend beyond current product roadmaps.
- Strategic research & development, and transfer in, of analytical and purification technologies for nanoparticles to provide a basis for evolution of current and future Sartorius nanoparticle products.
- Gather, analyze and define requirements for analytical and purification system functionality.
- Provide support or guidance to technical support team and R&D teams as needed for transfer of technologies developed and/or adopted into the Sartorius product development or OEM organizations.

**What will convince us**

**Education**:

- MS or PhD in Bioengineering, or closely related discipline with formal education and experience with extracellular vesicles characterization and purification.
- B.S. student with strong background in single particle analysis technologies such as flow cytometry, nanoparticle tracking analysis, and electron microscopy as well as extracellular vesicles and nanoparticles.

**Experience**:

- Good knowledge of current developments in extracellular vesicles and other nanoparticle technologies.
- Previous hands on experience with characterization and purification of nanoparticles.
- Experience working as part of multi-partner R&D projects.
