Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the Infrastructure Specialist will be enthusiastic, driven and highly technical around Great Places core Infrastructure; Azure, VMware and Citrix together with a proven ability diagnose and research issues, then implementthe correct solution.

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:
You will be joining at a very exciting time as we embark on a large investment programme on the Great Places IT environment. The Infrastructure Specialist will work as part of a new team to support the Great Places BAU IT Infrastructure as well as a numberof exciting projects driving our cloud first strategy. You will assist with implementing and managing network infrastructure projects to ensure the core network is stable and is developed according to the needs of the business
**Experience & Skills**:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar infrastructure or 3rd line support role
**Hands on experience of the below;**
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Azure AVD and Remote App streaming
- Microsoft Server 2008-2019
- Microsoft Exchange Server
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Some experience of Citrix
- Virtualisation (VMware)
- Networking (Switches, Routers and Firewalls)
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- GDPR and IT Security awareness on Infrastructure
**Advantageous**:
- Successfully deliver Infrastructure projects (Server, Storage, Network and Cloud)
- Successfully deliver software projects, working with our project management team
- Cloud Infrastructure experience (Azure / AWS)
- Office 365 / Exchange Online
- An understanding of MS Teams/SharePoint online
- Exposure to backup technologies (Veeam)
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Physical SAN hardware experience (Dell EMC and NetApp Storage)
- Experience of IP Telephony (Avaya VoIP IP Office Telephony)
**Personal Attributes**:
- An to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure, whilst keeping attention to detail. Ability to work with change control to maximum system stability
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative. Ability to diagnose issues, research solutions and deliver resolutions.
- Good written and verbal communication
- Effective liaison with staff/other stakeholders to give information/find information/resolve problems Organisation and ability to time-manage workload.
- Able to deliver a high standard of customer service
- Ability to work flexibly and when needed outside normal working hours
