Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us at East Staffordshire Borough Council as a trainee accountant to support the day to day delivery of financial support to the Council.

We are looking for a motivated individual willing to undertake and achieve full membership of a CCAB / CIMA qualification and progress at an appropriate rate through the course whilst developing their finance skills.

We are looking for somebody who has:

- Experience of working within a financial environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience of being part of a team
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- A can-do and positive attitude to change
- Willing to study and progress at an acceptable rate through the CCAB / CIMA Qualification

In return you will gain professional and finance skills to develop an understanding and insight into finances in the public sector through on-the job experience and funded study towards a CCAB / CIMA qualification.
