**We are looking for a Pharmacy Counter Assistant for our Community Pharmacy.** **The job is 20 to 30 hours a week (by agreement).** **Starting rate of pay: £8.75-£9.75 per hour.** **We are looking for an applicant to provide a friendly, caring and professional service to our customers, as well as to support the smooth functioning of the pharmacy.** **Duties and responsibilities will include**: - **Checking deliveries and putting away stock.**: - **Follow till processes including sales of over the counter medication and pharmacy merchandise.**: - **Learn how to advise people on the safe and effective use of Over The Counter medicines, and refer customers to the Pharmacist when needed.**: - **Receive and hand out prescriptions under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist.**: - **Collect necessary prescription charges and ensure that the patient declaration on the reverse of prescription is correctly filled in and signed by the patient or representative.**: - **Ordering and maintaining stock from wholesalers.**: - **Maintain a tidy and pleasant working environment.**: - **Process invoices and paperwork in a timely manner following pharmacy procedures.**: - **Participate in the delivery of any additional services (stop smoking advice, blood pressure testing etc) for which you will have received adequate training.**: - **You will also spend some time in the Online Retail division of the company, and help select and prepare orders for dispatch to customers.** **For further information please contact Amee on 01273 505817** **Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent **Salary**: £18,442.00-£20,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension - Employee discount Schedule: - 8 hour shift COVID-19 considerations: We operate a "One in One Out Policy".
