Facilities Operative

Position is responsible for the delivery of site Facilities Operatives provided by IRIS ensuring tasks are completed accurately in a timely manner.

Reporting to the Facilities Team Leader, with accountability and responsibility for the day-to-day provision of Facilities services..

**Role Requirements**
- Provide Facilities Operatives planned and responsive tasks, including the direct liaison with Client to establish required Scope of Works ensuring the timely completion of tasks to the highest standards of service provision.
- Health & Safety - Attend Tool Box Talks, assist Supervisor to review H&S requirements of all tasks responsible for. Complete tasks safely as described within applicable Risk Assessments & Method Statements or ‘Take 5’ Pre-Task Risk Assessment.
- Delivery of works such as:

- Office moves
- Equipment & Machinery relocations within capabilities
- Waste and recycling collection
- Waste electrical and electronic equipment including bio-hazard waste
- Warehouse deliveries
- Site and infrastructure tidy’s
- Forklift services
- Site gritting and snow clearance
- Contractor liaison duties as required and available
- Postal service
- Adhoc Helpdesk requests
- Compliance checks
- Proactively check all facilities during works for damage and report to IRIS Helpdesk for repair.
- Ensure continuous development of processes in line with customer demands and legislation.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing for IRIS, Client staff and visitors.
- Coordinates holidays with Team Leader in a manner that does not negatively impact daily functions and Client requirements.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

- Have good communication skills - in person, on telephone and by electronic means
- Experience in organising, prioritising, and scheduling of work to agreed timelines
- The ability to identify, evaluate and solve problems in a structured and systematic way
- Experience in delivering high levels of customer service and satisfaction - ensuring services are delivered in-line with the Service Level Agreements
- Ability to work within a ‘teamworking’ environment, often needing cross functional support

- Use initiative and tenacity to resolve issues during the implementation of given role
- Ensure that IRIS develop a “CORPORATE MEMORY”, such that all necessary Documentation and Drawings are available to all and are up to date
- Full driving licence
- FLT license required
- Work in an organized manner, problem solving within the scope of the position.

**Health & Safety**
- The ability to inspect all areas for potential Health & Safety hazards and initiate immediate remedial action, informing and co-operating with those responsible for making good the defect.
- Ability to identify and report unplanned events, Incidents, Dangerous Occurrences & Near Miss Reporting
- Health & Safety - Attend Toolbox Talks, assist Supervisor to review H&S requirements of all tasks responsible for. Complete tasks safely as described within applicable Risk Assessments & Method Statements or ‘Take 5’ Pre-Task Risk Assessment.

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
