Operations Accountant - Wakefield - with hybrid working pattern.
Working within the fast moving telecoms industry where change is constant and the sector ‘complex’ there is a need for a proven accountant to join this PE backed business in Wakefield. The role will involve business partnering with a specified strategicbusiness unit to provide timely, insightful, accurate and commercial analysis and day to day financial support. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts for the strategic business unit, having the responsibility of ensuring all reported costsare controlled and managed to budget and all revenue are maximized as well as preparation of detailed monthly presentation for review with senior team including a commentary in coordination with programme directors and project managers.
On a day to day basis key requirements will involve:
Detailed monthly project reviews ensuring that all sites are reviewed and exceptions to expected results are investigated, ensure accurate reporting of the project costs, identifying areas of concern and reporting on the actions required to remedy.
Actively manage the levels of working capital that the strategic business unit is carrying, with a view to shortening the time to cash.
Proactively challenge existing processes to ensure best practice and alignment with other strategic business units.
Assist in the production of annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts
Undertake analysis to help identify opportunities for growth and development.
Key requirements:
Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA (qualified or part qualified) or QBE
An ambitious, energetic accountant with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Highcommercialacumen,thatwillallowthemtochallengecurrent practice and affect change within the business
Experience managing high volume based projects.
