**With the aim of engaging our learners and helping them find routes into further education, training or employment,** **we are looking for an Sports Coaching Programme Tutor for our Sports provision in St Helens**.

MPH Training primary aim is to inspire people with sport, activity, and wellbeing, and to help create a sense of achievement for participants of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

To deliver a sports programs for students 14 - 16 who areas risk of becoming NEET.

This includes developing session’s plans - and schemes of work.

Engage and encourage positive relationships amongst the target group built upon honesty and trust.

Work with the project coordinator to plan and implement each practical sports sessions.

Review and assess students process and academic achievements in line with awarding body guidelines and to work with and provide feedback to the education programme awarding body.

Assist in the promotion and advocating on behalf of students and the project within the local community and to act as a positive role model to individuals and groups.

Ensure completion of the necessary documentation and submit it to the Administrator by agreed dates, including records of students attendance at activities.

Actively promote and assist in the implementation of MPH Training’s Policies on Equality and Diversity, Child Protection and Health and Safety, as they relate to service delivery, employment and the safety of the rights of the individuals.

The successful applicant will be required to oversee the development and structure of the Sports Coaching Programme curriculum for teaching and learning.

We are looking for a tutor with a passion for Sports and Coaching, to provide innovative and creative lessons to a brilliantly diverse group of learners with varying needs. You will build their confidence and communication skills and enhance their existing level of education. You will lead them a step closer to success in gaining a recognised qualification which will enable them to potentially pursue a career in coaching, sports, leisure, fitness - who knows where else?

Essential Specification
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Experience of working with young people
- Assessor Qualified or prepared to work towards the qualification
- Current occupational competency in Sports Coaching
- Excellent organisational, delivery & communication skills
- Self-motivated, able to work to performance targets and KPIs
- Experience of working with young people aged 16-24

Desirable Specification
- Sound knowledge of Sports & Coaching
- Level 3 qualification in Sports & Active leisure or similar
- Experience of effective partnership working (internal and external)
- Willingness to complete a teaching qualification and/or Assessing qualification
- Flexible approach to learning and course development
- Ideally have experience in creating modules and programmes

Pay: From £21,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Tutoring: 1 year (required)
