Overview:
Foundry is seeking an _EMEA Regional Editor_ to join the team This role will be responsible for managing English-language content for our Middle East, Africa, and several European editions of CIO and CSOOnline.

**Responsibilities**:
We are seeking an editor who can find and work with freelance and staff journalists, assign and edit their stories, and manage the English-language content specific to Foundry’s enterprise IT websites in Middle East, Africa, and several European editions. This role would collaborate with the editors of our other regions to coordinate coverage across our regions and to provide backup as needed such as for vacation coverage.
Qualifications:
- At least several years’ experience as a journalist, particularly in technology or business journalism, doing original reporting for a target audience. Experience as an industry analyst or researcher may also qualify.
- Several years’ experience as an editor managing both content and reporters (freelance and/or staff). Experience as an industry analyst or researcher managing a team of researcher-writers may also qualify.
- Proven ability to find and report or assign stories specific to a target audience, especially relating to enterprise information technology and enterprise information security.
- Proven ability to find and manage freelance journalists, and to coach them edit their work to high standards.
- Proven ability to track relevant trends and establish and nurture relationships with freelancers, target business professionals, researchers/analysts, government officials, and solutions providers.
- Proven ability to be self-motivating and self-directing, while also working as part of a global team and conforming to its standards.
